Elgin Kansas, A Ghost Town

1869 The Town Was Formed.

This Town was once a Booming Cattle Town, also the Infamous Dalton Gang Robbed The Elgin State Bank!!!!

This once Thriving Town is now memories, few still live here but there is no businesses etc......

Monte Ne is an area in the Ozark hills of the White River valley east of Rogers on the edge of Beaver Lake in the U.S. state of Arkansas. From 1901 until the mid-1930s the area was a health resort and ambitious planned community. It was owned and operated by William Hope Harvey, a financial theorist and one-time U.S. Presidential nominee. Two of its hotels, "Missouri Row" and "Oklahoma Row", were the largest log buildings in the world.

The Abandoned Emerson Elementary School!!!!!

This school had some amazing Things inside, School Books, Clothes etc all left....

The May 22nd 2011 EF 5 Tornado damaged this place and the plan is to demolish the school,


 A four-room school building was constructed in 1899 at 19th and Pennsylvania.  The name of the school was Southeast Joplin

school.  In 1904 the name was changed to Emerson.  This building was later razed.  In 1930 a new structure was built on the

same site.  A four-room addition was added in 1954.
